I was trying to find my serial number for my first Pixel 2XL that was stolen. I have the original box and the serial number is not listed. I contacted my provider (Verizon) and they were not able to tell me. I then contacted Google support and they told me that the IMEI number is the same as the serial number. However when I go into device settings (on my replacement 2XL) it does list a serial number that is different from the IMEI number. That serial number is not listed on the box it came in anywhere.
Is there a way to find the actual serial number for my stolen phone? If there is a way to do so that would be great, law enforcement needs it for the report.
