Following plenty of speculation about what exactly Spyro Reignited Trilogy'srequired downloaded would entail, Activision has offered clear clarification of what does and doesn't come on the Reignited Trilogy disc.
As first reported by some who visited the Reignited Trilogy developer Toys for Bob, including Achievement Hunter, not all of the second and third games in the trilogy will need to be downloaded for those purchasing the game on disc.

Activision has confirmed to IGN that 'The trilogy will ship with content from each of the three games, including the entire first game and a subset of levels from games 2 and 3. In order for the full Reignited Trilogy offerings, a day one update is required.'

When asked for further clarification, Activision confirmed this means some full levels will be included on the Reignited Trilogy disc, and other full levels will need to be downloaded as part of a Day 1 update. So, should someone purchase the Trilogy on disc but not be able to connect their console to the internet, they would be able to play those levels on the disc, but not the full, original level suites of Spyro: Ripto's Rage and Spyro: Year of the Dragon.
IGN was not provided with a full list of which levels will and won't be included on the disc.

Previously, fans spotted that the Trilogy's official website indicated that Ripto's Rage and Year of the Dragon would 'require download,' but offered no other exact information. At the time, Activision stated the download would be somewhat akin to the Day 1 update many modern games have but did not offer clarification at the time. This latest update offers a better picture of what players planning to buy the physical edition of the Trilogy can expect.
Since that initial discovery, Spyro's release date on PS4 and Xbox One was pushed from Sept. 21 to Nov. 13. IGN has also exclusively revealed several levels of gameplay, including Breeze Harbor (which you can watch above). Spyro Reignited Trilogy Gameplay:
IGN has gone hands-on with the Spyro Reignited Trilogy multiple times, noting that the levels so far have offered a fun nostalgia trip. Spyro Reignited Trilogy was meant to originally be released on Sept. 21, but Activision and developer Toys for Bob delayed the title until Nov. 13.
While the delay is unfortunate for Spyro fans who hoped to start playing the trilogy as soon as possible, we've spoken about why the Spyro delay doesn't worry us too much.
